DMX started rapping as early as the mid 1990s. In the month of May 1998, He released his first album, It's Dark and HOT. The album was followed by other releases including... and Then There Was X and Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album, titled...And then was X was nominated for The Grammy in 2001 for Best Rap Album in 2001. Alongside his music activities, he has also been featured in films such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five Exit Wounds That Will Never Let You Go Alone the Bleeding Romeo must die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
